Warning Description: Special Weather Statement

Warning Date: 4:23 am PST on November 21, 2008

WarningSum:...A Change To Somewhat Unsettled Weather Is Anticipated For The
Middle Of Next Week And The Thanksgiving Holiday...

Warning Message:An area of low pressure is expected to develop in the eastern
Pacific Monday...then move to the California coast later Tuesday
into Wednesday. This will bring a chance of rain to the central
California interior Wednesday and Thanksgiving day.
However...it does not look like a significant storm...with
precipitation being more showery in nature versus an all day rain.
Snow levels will remain fairly high...at or above 6500 feet. Travel
problems due to snow on mountain passes is not expected through
at least Thanksgiving day...such as I-5 over the Grapevine.
While it is still too early to tell...a stronger and colder storm
could affect the region by Friday.
Holiday travelers should monitor forecasts over the next several
days and plan accordingly.
Listen to NOAA Weather Radio or your local media for the latest
updates on this changing pattern.
